Sometimes an ordinary home is not what our clients desire.  This was truly the case with this home Six Squares Architecture designed for their clients in Tauranga.  Wanting something completely different, the clients gave Sam the freedom to break all the standard rules of Architecture.  There are boxes that jut out on angles to create privacy and capture views.  Window heights vary, each one framing a different piece of the Tauranga Harbour.  Unique claddings were used with sharp vertical lines and metallic high lights.  Sam played with some very creative features inside the boxes with Mahogany that wraps right around.

The tight and steeply sloped site threw up it's challenges,  the house is snuggled back into the hill and shimmers proudly amongst its neighbours.
